I’m a recent English Literature graduate from the University of York, UK. I’m currently interning at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), an international human rights NGO, which deals mostly with Access to Information and Access to Justice. The views represented here are my own.
I have lived in both India and the UK, and travelled around parts of Europe, India, China and Australia. My interests include human rights, international development, current affairs, politics and travel. While I was at University, I wrote for several award-winning student newspapers and magazine including Nouse, York Vision, The Zahir, The Lemon Press and The Yorkling. I also interned with the United Nations Millennium Campaign and the Information Centre, where I helped coordinate ‘Stand Up 2010′, an event where the world stands up against poverty.
An archive of the rest of my writing is available here: www.nankichawla.wordpress.com.
